Today we are off to Cambodia. Cambodia is a mere 2 hour plane journey from Vietnam, so if you’re planning a visit to this part of Asia, Cambodia is worth hoping over to see as well.
My family and I just spent 2 days here, exploring all of the different temples, from Angkor Wat at sunrise (it’s worth the 4am start, and that’s coming from a non-morning person!) to pretending to be Lara Croft at the temple where Tomb Raider was filmed. Didn’t you hear? There’s another sequel and this time I’m the star, move over Angelina Jolie! Tips for Cambodia – there’s a lo-o-o-ot of temples to see and although they are amazing to explore and to learn about, they are obviously outdoors, and in almost 40 degree weather you might start getting a little:
a)Sun-ry (Sun + angry)
I did suffer severely from the 3 s’ above, mainly being sun-ry but if you ask my family they would probably use a much ruder word to describe my mood! So to avoid this I would advice people to take a spray-fan (fan which also sprays water – it’s a godsend!), a hat and lots and lots of sun cream.
