New Year, New Me…

resolutions 2015…Utters almost 90% of the world’s population come January 1st, including me. I do try my best in keeping them, for example in last year’s resolutions post, I told you that I wanted to re-learn French and I think I made it until March with Rosetta Stone before I lost interest, so we got a whole 3 months! This year I really want to stick to my goals and give these resolutions a shot:

Re-decorate bedroom

It has been on my life ‘to-do’ list since about 2004 (no exaggeration!) but I have been planning to move rooms and re-decorate it since what feels like forever. Late night Pinterest browsing has inspired me to actually go ahead and start the big move (down the corridor) this year, sometime before next Christmas, so watch this space for any room updates!

Make upresolutions ashumiI absolutely love make up. Nothing excites me more than using a fresh, new lipstick for the first time or getting lost in the realm of YouTube make up tutorials. A sad life I lead, yes, however, I am utter pants at experimenting with make up. I have probably worn the same make up look for the past 2 years, whilst changing the lipstick shade depending on the season!  I tend to stick to the combinations I know best and rarely experiment. This is mainly because I leave it to the very last minute to get ready and don’t leave enough time to have a go at different eyeshadow combinations. Therefore I am going to dedicate some time, preferably when I am not leaving the house (in case I scare any children with my clown-like face) to practice make up, including the dreaded winged eyeliner! Once you master that, you can tackle anything in life!zoeva make up brushes

Exercise

This may be a cliched resolution, but after the days of compulsory Netball at school (shudder at the thought of P.E.), I don’t really exercise. I’m not planning on going crazy and spending 2 hours at the gym every day and be on a strict diet plan, but I just want to do a small amount of running each day (10-15 minutes), to start my day off. Plus, I figured out a way to connect the cross trainer to my iPhone, which means I can pass the time by watching beauty tutorials. Multi-tasking at it’s finest!

Scrapbookresolution ashumiI’m a hoarder. I have kept a lot of my cinema tickets, boarding passes, metro cards, theatre tickets, any other “junk” (as my mother calls it) that reminds me of an event, like a school trip or a uni night out, ever since I was 16 years old. I have then shoved it all in a drawer and have said that I will, one day, make a scrapbook with these memories. After watching one of my favourite YouTubers, Lily Pebbles’, video about her Project Life scrapbook, I have decided to finally make that scrapbook!

Love the Scrapbook resolution! I’m such a hoarder too – all my friend’s end up giving me their tickets/memorabilia because they know I love to keep things like that! Discovered Project Life mid way through last year but never got round to completing it/always felt like I wanted to have started a bit earlier (OCD!) but you’ve inspired me to start in January :) Good luck with it all and best wishes for the new year!

Love the scrapbook resolution! I’m such a hoarder as well; my friends always pass on their receipts, tickets and paraphenalia because they know I love to keep that sort of thing. I found Project Life mid-way through last year but didn’t want to start so far into the year (yep, a bit OCD!) but you’ve inspired me to start again…and actually sort out my bags of ‘memories’ (quite literally! haha). Good luck with all the resolutions!
Best wishes for the new year :)

Project Life is amazing! I just can’t wait to get stuck in and spend weekends crafting! Haha. Thanks for the good luck, I’ll need it, especially with the exercise resolution! Happy New Year xx
